Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَوْ يَعْلَمُ النَّاسُ مَا فِي الْوَحْدَةِ مَا سَرَى (٣) أَحَدٌ بِلَيْلٍ وَحْدَهُ " (٤)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "If people knew the harm of traveling alone, then no one would travel alone at night."
