حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ دِينَارٍ،، ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: اتَّخَذَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَاتَمًا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ، فَاتَّخَذَ النَّاسُ خَوَاتِيمَ (١) مِنْ ذَهَبٍ، فَقَامَ يَوْمًا، فَقَالَ: " إِنِّي كُنْتُ أَلْبَسُ هَذَا الْخَاتَمَ "، ثُمَّ نَبَذَهُ، فَنَبَذَ النَّاسُ خَوَاتِيمَهُمْ (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, had a ring made of gold. People also had rings made of gold. One day the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, stood up and said: "I used to wear this ring," then the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, threw it away, and the people also threw away their rings.
