Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الْوَلَاءِ، وَعَنْ هِبَتِهِ " قَالَ: قُلْتُ: سَمِعْتَهُ (١) مِنَ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، وَسَأَلَهُ عَنْهُ (٢) ابْنُهُ حَمْزَةُ (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade selling or gifting the right of wala.
