حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ صَفِيَّةَ ابْنَةِ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ قَالَتْ: رَأَى ابْنُ عُمَرَ صَبِيًّا فِي رَأْسِهِ قَنَازِعُ، فَقَالَ: أَمَا عَلِمْتَ " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى أَنْ تَحْلِقَ (١) الصِّبْيَانُ الْقَزَعَ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
Safiyyah bint Abi Ubaid says that once Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) saw a child whose head had some hair cut and some left as it was. He said: Do you not know that the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade cutting children's hair in this manner?
