حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ: جَبَلَةُ أَخْبَرَنِي قَالَ: كُنَّا بِالْمَدِينَةِ فِي بَعْثِ الْعِرَاقِ، فَكَانَ ابْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ يَرْزُقُنَا التَّمْرَ، وَكَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يَمُرُّ بِنَا فَيَقُولُ: لَا تُقَارِنُوا، " فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنِ الْقِرَانِ إِلَّا أَنْ يَسْتَأْذِنَ الرَّجُلُ مِنْكُمْ (٢) أَخَاهُ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
Jabalah says that Abdullah bin Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) used to give us dates to eat. At that time, people were facing extreme difficulties. One day, we were eating dates when Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) passed by us and said: "Do not eat several dates at a time, because the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade eating several dates without your brother’s permission."
