حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا دَخَلَ الصَّلَاةَ (٣) رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حَذْوَ مَنْكِبَيْهِ، وَإِذَا رَكَعَ، وَإِذَا رَفَعَ مِنَ الرُّكُوعِ " (٤)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when the Prophet (ﷺ) began the prayer, he would raise his hands to the level of his shoulders, and he would do the same when going into bowing (ruku‘) and when rising from bowing.
