Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) wanted to buy Barirah. The Prophet (ﷺ) went to perform prayer. When he returned, Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) submitted that those people refused to sell her and said that if the right of wala (allegiance) remains with us, then we will sell her. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "The right of wala belongs only to the one who sets free."
