حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا خَارِجَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِنَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ جَعَلَ الْحَقَّ عَلَى قَلْبِ عُمَرَ وَلِسَانِهِ " قَالَ: وَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ: " مَا نَزَلَ بِالنَّاسِ أَمْرٌ قَطُّ فَقَالُوا فِيهِ: وَقَالَ فِيهِ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ: - أَوْ قَالَ عُمَرُ - إِلَّا نَزَلَ الْقُرْآنُ عَلَى نَحْوٍ مِمَّا قَالَ عُمَرُ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Allah has made the truth flow upon Umar's heart and tongue." Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that whenever any matter was presented before the people and the people had one opinion and Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) had another opinion, then the Noble Qur'an would be revealed close to the opinion of Umar (may Allah be pleased with him).
