Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ، وَأَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ قَالَا (١) : حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُصْمٍ أَبِي عَلْوَانَ الْحَنَفِيِّ، سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنَّ فِي ثَقِيفٍ كَذَّابًا وَمُبِيرًا " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "In the tribe of Thaqif there will be a destructive person and a liar."
