قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، (٢) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ حَمْزَةَ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، أَنَّ شَاعِرًا قَالَ عِنْدَ ابْنِ عُمَرَ:، ، وَبِلَالُ عَبْدُ اللهِ خَيْرُ بِلَالِ، فَقَالَ لَهُ ابْنُ عُمَرَ: " كَذَبْتَ ذَاكَ بِلَالُ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
Salim (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once, in the presence of Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), a poet praised his son Bilal with this verse: "The Bilal of Abdullah ibn Umar is better than every Bilal." Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said to him: "You are mistaken; this distinction belonged only to the Bilal of the Prophet (ﷺ)."
