Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once we were participating in a jihad. During the battle, we became frightened and began to flee. At first, we intended to go on a sea journey, then we presented ourselves before the Prophet (ﷺ), and we said, "O Messenger of Allah! We are those who have fled and run away." The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "No, rather you are those who turn back and attack."
