حَدَّثَنَا (٢) يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ التَّيْمِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي مِجْلَزٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَجَدَ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الْأُولَى مِنْ صَلَاةِ، ، الظُّهْرِ "، فَرَأَى أَصْحَابُهُ أَنَّهُ قَدْ قَرَأَ تَنْزِيلُ السَّجْدَةِ، قَالَ: " وَلَمْ أَسْمَعْهُ مِنْ أَبِي مِجْلَزٍ " (١)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once the Prophet (ﷺ) while leading the Zuhr prayer performed a prostration of recitation in the first rak'ah. The noble Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) thought that the Prophet (ﷺ) had recited Surah As-Sajdah.
