حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، سَمِعْتُ الْمُغِيرَةَ بْنَ سَلْمَانَ، (٣) يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: " عَشْرُ رَكَعَاتٍ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُدَاوِمُ عَلَيْهِنَّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الظُّهْرِ وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الظُّهْرِ، (٤) وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْمَغْرِبِ، وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْعِشَاءِ، وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الْفَجْرِ " (٥)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that I have memorized ten rak‘ahs from the Prophet (ﷺ) which he used to perform regularly: two rak‘ahs before the Zuhr prayer and two after it, two rak‘ahs after Maghrib, two rak‘ahs after ‘Isha, and two rak‘ahs before the Fajr prayer.
