Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ حُرَيْثٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ: " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْجَرِّ، وَالدُّبَّاءِ، وَالْمُزَفَّتِ، وَأَمَرَ أَنْ يُنْتَبَذَ فِي الْأَسْقِيَةِ " (٥)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade (the use of) pitchers, dubba, and muzaffat, and permitted making nabidh in water skins.
