Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that during the blessed era of the Prophet (ﷺ), when I was a young unmarried man, I used to sleep in the Prophet’s Mosque at night. At that time, dogs used to come and go in the mosque, and after that, people would not even sprinkle a little water on the ground.
