حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ حَمَّادٍ، عَنْ بِشْرِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ: " إِنَّ رَفْعَكُمْ أَيْدِيَكُمْ بِدْعَةٌ مَا زَادَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى هَذَا " يَعْنِي إِلَى الصَّدْرِ (٢)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that your raising of the hands is an innovation; the Prophet (ﷺ) did not extend his hands beyond his chest.
