حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ ابْنَ عُمَرَ، عَنِ الْوَتْرِ أَوَاجِبٌ هُوَ؟ فَقَالَ: " أَوْتَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَالْمُسْلِمُونَ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
Nafi' (may Allah have mercy on him) says that a man asked Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) about Witr, whether it is obligatory. He replied that the Prophet (ﷺ) and all the Muslims have offered Witr.
