Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، أَخْبَرَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ،، ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْقَزَعِ قُلْتُ: وَمَا الْقَزَعُ، قَالَ: أَنْ يُحْلَقَ رَأْسُ الصَّبِيِّ وَيُتْرَكَ بَعْضُهُ (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade qaza’. Qaza’ means that when cutting a child's hair, some hair is cut and some is left.
