حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيٌّ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُبَارَكٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو قِلَابَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي سَالِمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ قَالَ: قَالَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " سَتَخْرُجُ نَارٌ قَبْلَ (١) يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنْ بَحْرِ حَضْرَمَوْتَ، أَوْ مِنْ حَضْرَمَوْتَ تَحْشُرُ النَّاسَ ". قَالُوا: فَبِمَ (٢) تَأْمُرُنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ: " عَلَيْكُمْ بِالشَّامِ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said to us: Near the Day of Judgment, a fire will emerge from the sea of Hadramaut, "which is a region of Syria," and it will drive people forward. We asked: O Messenger of Allah! What do you command us to do at that time? He said: "Make the land of Syria obligatory upon yourselves (go there)."
