Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَلْقَمَةَ، سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ: " أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ تُعْفَى اللِّحَى، وَأَنْ تُجَزَّ الشَّوَارِبُ (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (ﷺ) commanded to trim the moustache thoroughly and to let the beard grow fully.
