Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، وَحَجَّاجٌ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، وَسَمِعْتُ أَبَا مِجْلَزٍ، سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يُحَدِّثُ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: " الْوَتْرُ رَكْعَةٌ مِنْ آخِرِ اللَّيْلِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Witr is the last rak'ah of the night prayers."
