حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ تَوْبَةَ الْعَنْبَرِيِّ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مُوَرِّقًا الْعِجْلِيَّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ، أَوْ هُوَ سَأَلَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ، فَقَالَ:، ، هَلْ تُصَلِّي الضُّحَى؟ قَالَ: لَا. قَالَ: عُمَرُ؟ قَالَ: لَا. فَقَالَ: أَبُو بَكْرٍ؟ فَقَالَ: لَا. قَالَ: فَرَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ قَالَ: " لَا إِخَالُ " (١) (٢)،
Translation
English translation
Muraq ‘Ajli (may Allah have mercy on him) says: I asked Ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both): Do you perform the Duha prayer? He said, No! I asked: Did ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) perform it? He replied: No! I asked: Did Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) perform it? He replied: No! I asked: Did the Prophet (ﷺ) perform it? He replied: I do not think so.
