حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: أَشْتَرِي الذَّهَبَ بِالْفِضَّةِ؟ فَقَالَ: " إِذَا أَخَذْتَ وَاحِدًا مِنْهُمَا، فَلَا يُفَارِقْكَ صَاحِبُكَ وَبَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَهُ لَبْسٌ " (١)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once he asked the Prophet (ﷺ): "Can I buy gold in exchange for silver?" The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Whenever you take either of these two things, do not separate from your companion until there is not even the slightest doubt between you and him."
