حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، (٤) أَخْبَرَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَرْطَاةَ، عَنْ وَبَرَةَ، سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ: " أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِقَتْلِ الذِّئْبِ لِلْمُحْرِمِ "، يَعْنِي: وَالْفَأْرَةَ، وَالْغُرَابَ، وَالْحِدَأَ (٥) ، فَقِيلَ لَهُ: فَالْحَيَّةُ، ، وَالْعَقْرَبُ؟ فَقَالَ: قَدْ كَانَ يُقَالُ ذَاكَ (١)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) ordered the killing of the mouse, the crow, and the wolf in the state of Ihram. Someone asked Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) about the snake and the scorpion; he said that it is also said regarding them.
