Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " صَلَاةُ الْمَغْرِبِ وِتْرُ النَّهَارِ، فَأَوْتِرُوا صَلَاةَ اللَّيْلِ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "The Maghrib prayer is the witr of the day, so you should also perform the witr of the night."
