حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ (١) بْنُ عُمَرَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ: " أَنَّ الْعَبَّاسَ اسْتَأْذَنَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي أَنْ يَبِيتَ تِلْكَ اللَّيْلَةَ بِمَكَّةَ مِنْ أَجْلِ السِّقَايَةِ " فَأَذِنَ لَهُ " (٢)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) sought permission from the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) to stay in Makkah during the days of Mina in order to serve water to the pilgrims, so the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) granted him permission.
