Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) delayed the ‘Isha prayer so much that those who prayed had already prayed, those who stayed awake remained awake, those who slept had gone to sleep, and those who performed Tahajjud had performed Tahajjud. Then the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) came out and said: "If I did not fear hardship for my Ummah, I would have commanded them to perform the ‘Isha prayer at this time," or he said a similar statement to this.
