حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، عَنِ الْمُطَّلِبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ حَنْطَبٍ قَالَ: كَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ " يَتَوَضَّأُ ثَلَاثًا يَرْفَعُهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ "، وَكَانَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ " يَتَوَضَّأُ مَرَّةً يَرْفَعُهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
Matlab bin Abdullah says that Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) used to wash the limbs of ablution three times each and attributed this to the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), while Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) used to wash them once each and he too attributed this to the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ).
