حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ النَّجْرَانِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُتِيَ بِسَكْرَانَ فَضَرَبَهُ الْحَدَّ، فَقَالَ: " مَا شَرَابُكَ؟ " قَالَ: الزَّبِيبُ وَالتَّمْرُ. قَالَ: " يَكْفِي كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا مِنْ (١) صَاحِبِهِ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that a drunkard was brought to the Noble Prophet (ﷺ). The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) enforced the prescribed punishment upon him and asked him, "What kind of wine did you drink?" He replied, "Of raisins and dates." The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Each of these suffices in place of the other."
