حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَادَةُ (١) بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ الْفَزَارِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي جُبَيْرُ بْنُ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ، سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ: لَمْ يَكُنْ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَدَعُ هَؤُلَاءِ الدَّعَوَاتِ حِينَ يُصْبِحُ وَحِينَ يُمْسِي: " اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَافِيَةَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ، اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَفْوَ وَالْعَافِيَةَ فِي دِينِي وَدُنْيَايَ وَأَهْلِي وَمَالِي، اللهُمَّ اسْتُرْ عَوْرَاتِي، وَآمِنْ رَوْعَاتِي، اللهُمَّ احْفَظْنِي مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيَّ، وَمِنْ خَلْفِي، وَعَنْ يَمِينِي، وَعَنْ شِمَالِي، وَمِنْ فَوْقِي، وَأَعُوذُ بِعَظَمَتِكَ أَنْ أُغْتَالَ مِنْ تَحْتِي "، (٢) قَالَ: يَعْنِي الْخَسْفَ، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) would never abandon any of these supplications in the morning and evening: O Allah! I ask You for well-being in this world and the Hereafter. O Allah! I ask You for pardon and well-being in my religious and worldly affairs, my family, and my wealth. O Allah! Conceal my faults and grant me security from fear. O Allah! Protect me from in front of me, from behind me, from my right, from my left, and from above me, and I seek refuge in Your greatness from being taken unaware from beneath me, that is, from being swallowed by the earth.
