حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا الْعُمَرِيُّ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعَثَ ابْنَ رَوَاحَةَ إِلَى خَيْبَرَ، يَخْرُصُ عَلَيْهِمْ، ثُمَّ خَيَّرَهُمْ أَنْ يَأْخُذُوا أَوْ يَرُدُّوا "، فَقَالُوا: هَذَا الْحَقُّ، بِهَذَا قَامَتِ السَّمَوَاتُ وَالْأَرْضُ (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) sent Abdullah bin Rawahah (may Allah be pleased with him) to Khaybar so that he could set an estimate for the people living there. Then he gave them the choice to accept it or reject it, but those people said that this is correct and upon this promise the heavens and the earth are established.
