Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنِي عُيَيْنَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ جُدْعَانَ، حَدَّثَنِي سَالِمٌ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِنَّمَا يَلْبَسُ الْحَرِيرَ مَنْ لَا خَلَاقَ لَهُ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Silk clothing is worn by the one who has no share in the Hereafter."
