حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: أَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِبَعْضِ جَسَدِي فَقَالَ: " يَا عَبْدَ اللهِ كُنْ فِي الدُّنْيَا كَأَنَّكَ غَرِيبٌ، أَوْ عَابِرُ سَبِيلٍ، وَاعْدُدْ نَفْسَكَ فِي الْمَوْتَى " (١)، ، . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) once held a part of my body and said: "O Abdullah! Live in this world as if you are a traveler or a passerby, and count yourself among the dead."
