Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَتَّابُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُبَارَكٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، رَأَى فِي بَعْضِ مَغَازِيهِ امْرَأَةً مَقْتُولَةً، فَأَنْكَرَ ذَاكَ (٢) وَنَهَى عَنْ قَتْلِ النِّسَاءِ وَالصِّبْيَانِ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) saw a slain woman in one of the battles, so he forbade the killing of women and children.
