حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: كَانَ أَهْلُ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ يَبِيعُونَ (١) لَحْمَ الْجَزُورِ بِحَبَلِ حَبَلَةٍ، وَحَبَلُ حَبَلَةٍ: تُنْتَجُ النَّاقَةُ مَا فِي بَطْنِهَا، ثُمَّ تَحْمِلُ الَّتِي تُنْتَجُهُ، " فَنَهَاهُمْ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ ذَلِكَ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that in the time of ignorance, people used to sell the meat of a camel in exchange for the unborn offspring of a pregnant animal, and by the unborn offspring of a pregnant animal is meant "the one who is still in the mother's womb." The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) forbade this.
