حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُوقَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ حَفْصٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: أَتَى رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلٌ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ، ، اللهِ، إِنِّي (١) أَذْنَبْتُ ذَنْبًا كَبِيرًا، فَهَلْ لِي تَوْبَةٌ؟ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " أَلَكَ وَالِدَانِ؟ " قَالَ: لَا، قَالَ: " فَلَكَ خَالَةٌ؟ "، قَالَ: نَعَمْ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " فَبِرَّهَا إِذًا " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that a man came to the service of the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) and said: O Messenger of Allah! I have committed a very great sin; is there any room for repentance and any way out for me? The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) asked him: "Do you have parents?" He said: No! The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) asked about his maternal aunt, and he said: She is there. The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Go and treat her kindly."
