حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، عَنْ عَمِّهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: رَقِيتُ يَوْمًا عَلَى بَيْتِ حَفْصَةَ: " فَرَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: عَلَى حَاجَتِهِ مُسْتَدْبِرَ الْبَيْتِ (١) مُسْتَقْبِلَ الشَّامِ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that one day I climbed onto the roof of the house of Sayyidah Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with her), and I saw that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) was relieving himself facing towards the direction of Shaam and with his back towards the Qiblah.
