It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that on the day of the conquest of Makkah, the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) was saying on the steps of the Ka'bah: "All praise is due to Allah who fulfilled His promise, helped His servant, and defeated all the armies single-handedly. Be aware! The blood money (diyah) for one killed by a stick or staff is one hundred camels. According to some chains of narration, this is a severe diyah, which includes forty pregnant she-camels. Be aware! Every pride, every blood, and every claim of the time of ignorance is under my two feet. However, the office of providing water to the pilgrims and the custodianship of the key of the Sacred House (Ka'bah), I maintain these offices for their current holders as long as the world remains (these offices will remain with these people)."
