حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ بَابٍ، عَنْ الْحَجَّاجِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " مَنْ سَأَلَ مَسْأَلَةً، وَهُوَ عَنْهَا غَنِيٌّ، جَاءَتْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ كُدُوحًا فِي وَجْهِهِ، وَلَا تَحِلُّ الصَّدَقَةُ لِمَنْ لَهُ خَمْسُونَ دِرْهَمًا، أَوْ عِوَضُهَا مِنَ الذَّهَبِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Whoever begs while he has enough to suffice him, he will come on the Day of Resurrection with his face scratched, and the wealth of zakat is not lawful for the person who possesses fifty dirhams or gold equivalent to it."
