حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَا تَأْكُلُوا الطَّعَامَ مِنْ فَوْقِهِ، وَكُلُوا مِنْ جَوَانِبِهِ، فَإِنَّ الْبَرَكَةَ تَنْزِلُ مِنْ فَوْقِهِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنه) that
A woman of Kath’am said: O Messenger of Allah, the command of Allah to do Hajj has come when my father is an old man and cannot sit firmly in the saddle. Can I do Hajj on his behalf? He said: Yes.
