حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، وَابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، قَالَ ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ: سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَا تَتَّخِذُوا شَيْئًا فِيهِ الرُّوحُ غَرَضًا " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas (رضي الله عنه) that
He invited his brother ‘Ubaidullah to eat on the day of Arafat, and he said, I am fasting. He said: You are leaders whose example is followed, I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) call for fresh milk on this day and he drank. On one occasion Yahya (one of the narrators) said:... Members of a household whose example is followed.
