حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَعْرِضُ الْقُرْآنَ فِي كُلِّ رَمَضَانَ عَلَى جِبْرِيلَ، فَيُصْبِحُ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ لَيْلَتِهِ الَّتِي يَعْرِضُ فِيهَا مَا يَعْرِضُ، وَهُوَ أَجْوَدُ مِنَ الرِّيحِ الْمُرْسَلَةِ، لَا يُسْأَلُ شَيْئًا (٢) إِلَّا أَعْطَاهُ، حَتَّى، ، إِذَا (١) كَانَ الشَّهْرُ الَّذِي هَلَكَ بَعْدَهُ، عَرَضَ فِيهِ عَرْضَتَيْنِ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas (رضي الله عنه) that
The Prophet (ﷺ) was asked about the children of the mushrikeen [who died in childhood]. He said: "Allah knew best what they would have done when He created them."
