Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنْ صَوْمِ رَجَبٍ: كَيْفَ تَرَى فِيهِ؟ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " كَانَ يَصُومُ حَتَّى نَقُولَ: لَا يُفْطِرُ، وَيُفْطِرُ حَتَّى نَقُولَ: لَا يَصُومُ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas (رضي الله عنه) that
When the Prophet (ﷺ) walked, he walked energetically, with no sign of laziness in (his manner of walking).
