Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا، عَنْ عَامِرٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَتْنِي فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ قَيْسٍ، قَالَتْ: طَلَّقَنِي زَوْجِي ثَلَاثًا، " فَأَمَرَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ أَعْتَدَّ فِي بَيْتِ ابْنِ أُمِّ مَكْتُومٍ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Fatimah bint Qais (may Allah be pleased with her) that my husband Abu Amr bin Hafs bin Mughirah sent me a message of divorce one day. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Go and spend your waiting period ('iddah) in the house of your paternal cousin Ibn Umm Maktum."
