Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ (٢) ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَهَا: " أَنْفِقِي، أَوْ ارْضَخِي (٣) وَلَا تُحْصِي، فَيُحْصِيَ اللهُ عَلَيْكِ، وَلَا تُوعِي، فَيُوعِيَ اللهُ عَلَيْكِ " (٤)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Asma that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said to me: Be generous and open-handed, and spend (in the way of Allah); do not hoard, otherwise Allah will also withhold from you. And do not spend by counting (stingily), lest Allah also start giving you by counting.
