Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Asma that once during the blessed era of the Prophet (peace be upon him), there was a solar eclipse. On that day, I went to Aisha's house and asked her, "What has happened to the people that they are praying at this time?" She pointed her head towards the sky. I asked, "Has some sign appeared?" She said, "Yes." On this occasion, the Prophet (peace be upon him) stood for a long time in prayer until I fainted. I took a water-skin that was beside me and began to pour water over my head. When the Prophet (peace be upon him) finished the prayer with salam, the solar eclipse had ended. Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) delivered a sermon, and after praising and glorifying Allah, he said, "After praise and salutation! Today, at this place, I have seen things that I had never seen before, even Paradise and Hell. It has been revealed to me that you people will be subjected to a trial in your graves equal to or close to the trial of the Dajjal. Angels will come to you and ask, 'What do you know about this man?' So the believer will reply, 'He was Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), and he came to us with clear miracles and guidance. We responded to his call and followed him (three times).' It will be said to him, 'We knew that you believed in this, so sleep in peace!' And as for the hypocrite, he will say, 'I do not know. I used to hear people saying something, so I said the same.'"
