حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا (١) أَبِي، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ يَعْلَى بْنَ حَكِيمٍ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ صُهَيْرَةَ بِنْتِ جَيْفَرٍ، قَالَتْ: حَجَجْنَا، ثُمَّ أَتَيْنَا الْمَدِينَةَ، فَدَخَلْنَا عَلَى صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ حُيَيٍّ، فَوَافَقْنَا عِنْدَهَا نِسْوَةً، فَقَالَتْ: " حَرَّمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَبِيذَ الْجَرِّ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
Sahira bint Jaifar says that once I went to Safiyyah bint Huyayy and asked her about the ruling on nabidh (fermented drink) made in a jug. She replied that the Prophet (peace be upon him) declared nabidh made in a jug to be forbidden.
