حَدَّثَنَا سَعْدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي ثَوْرُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْكَلَاعِيُّ، وَكَانَ ثِقَةً عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ الْمَكِّيِّ، قَالَ: حَجَجْتُ مَعَ عَدِيِّ بْنِ عَدِيٍّ الْكِنْدِيِّ فَبَعَثَنِي إِلَى صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ شَيْبَةَ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ صَاحِبِ الْكَعْبَةِ أَسْأَلُهَا عَنْ أَشْيَاءَ، سَمِعَتْهَا مِنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَكَانَ فِيمَا حَدَّثَتْنِي أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ عَائِشَةَ تَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " لَا طَلَاقَ وَلَا عِتَاقَ فِي إِغْلَاقٍ " (٢)، ، . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .، ،
Translation
English translation
Muhammad bin Abi Ubaid says that I performed Hajj with ‘Adi bin ‘Adi Kindi, so he sent me to Safiyyah, the daughter of Shaybah bin ‘Uthman, the keeper of the Ka‘bah, to ask her about some matters which she had heard from ‘A’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her). Among the ahadith that Safiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated to me was this hadith: She heard ‘A’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) say: Divorce or emancipation given under compulsion does not take effect.
