حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ الزُّهْرِيُّ، وَهِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، كِلَاهُمَا حَدَّثَنِي عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: كَانَتْ بَرِيرَةُ عِنْدَ عَبْدٍ فَعُتِقَتْ " فَجَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمْرَهَا بِيَدِهَا " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that Barirah was married to a slave. When she was freed, the Prophet (ﷺ) gave her the choice regarding her affairs.
