حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مِسْعَرٌ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ حَسَنٍ، (٣) عَنِ ابْنِ مَعْقِلٍ،، ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّهُ (١) كَانَ عَلَيْهَا رَقَبَةٌ مِنْ وَلَدِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، فَجَاءَ سَبْيٌ مِنَ الْيَمَنِ مِنْ خَوْلَانَ، فَأَرَادَتْ أَنْ تَعْتِقَ مِنْهُمْ، فَنَهَانِي النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ثُمَّ جَاءَ سَبْيٌ مِنْ مُضَرَ مِنْ بَنِي الْعَنْبَرِ، " فَأَمَرَهَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ تَعْتِقَ مِنْهُمْ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she had vowed to free a slave from among the descendants of Ismail. During this time, some captives from the Yemeni tribe of Khawlan arrived. Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) wished to free one of the slaves from among them, but the Prophet (ﷺ) stopped her. Then, when captives from the tribe of Banu Anbar of Mudar arrived, the Prophet (ﷺ) instructed her to free one from among them.
